"Hello, my name is Yessenia Balan, and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to talk about the proper techniques for singing. How can you tell that you're breathing correctly? One of the ways you can test it is, try coughing. When you cough, your abdominal muscle actually acts, and pushes the air from the lungs, out. It contracts. Try it at home. Do it with me. Automatically, you will feel those abdominal muscles contract. So that same type of behavior is what you should feel when you're breathing correctly. What's another way? Another way you can try breathing correctly is, when you act surprised. Imagine if you just got a great surprise or a gift. And you open up the gift, how would you breathe, or how would you react? You'd probably do an expression such as this. Try it. Try it with me, here we go. If you try it, you'll notice the abdominal section expand. That's a really good and easy way to remember how to breathe correctly. Let's try it one more time. There you go."
