Hip hop dancing is extremely popular these days. The Harlem Shake is a hip hop dance that was originally called the Albee. The reason it was called Albee was because the creator of the Harlem Shake was a man called Al B. He also goes by the nickname, Sisqo. It has now spread to other urban areas, and world-wide hip hop clips. It became mainstream in 2001 when G-Dep featured the Harlem Shake in the music video "Let's Get It". Historically the Harlem Shake came from an East African or Ethiopian dance called "Eskista." This free hip hop video series will teach you how to use your shoulders, your body and get your footwork down so that you can master the Harlem Shake.
