"On behalf of expertvillage.com, I'm Tom Flowers of Well Tempered Piano Tuning speaking to you on how you can improve the tuning on your own piano. The middle of the piano, called the tenor section, in the case of this piano exists between this C-sharp, called the C-sharp3 simply because it's the third C-sharp on the piano, to F-sharp5, again the fifth F-sharp on the piano. Going through here, you have three strings per note. So as you evaluate what needs to be cleaned up, well you can simply play through the notes. There we have a warble. One of the strings is flat to the center. It happens to be the right string. So place your tuning hammer on the corresponding tuning pin. Pull towards you. In the case of an older piano, quite slowly until the sound equalizes. This happens to be what we call a jumping pin. So I'm going to move it around a bit to..and there we have the tones matching."
