"TOM SMITH: Hi. My name is Tom, this is for ExpertVillage.com, and we're talking about how to play keyboards in a worship team or band at the church. And one of the things I want to talk about is there six approaches to choruses that you do at a church, worship tunes, and the first approach is the one that you're probably most familiar with but we'll cover anyway. It's just block chords. I'm not going to use my left hand. I'm just going to play block chords. So if I look at a song, this is one that might be familiar to you, "Enough" it's called, and if I'm playing block chords, I might be playing something and what I'll do is I'll put on some strings here 'cause that's nice when you're playing block chords. So, the song might be, [START SONG] "You're my supply, my breath of life, still more awesome than I know." [END SONG] I'm just playing block chords but you'll notice the most notes I'm playing is three and sometimes I'm going down to just two. So, that's the first approach to playing is just block chords, one hand, two or three notes out of the chord."
