"The third pedal all the way to the left is what we call the soft pedal. Now most of the pianos at less grands it move the T bar over when you hit the pedal you can see the actual keyboard moving from side to side. Now what is actual doing mechanically is playing 2 strings instead of 3 and that softens the sound. So let's say we are playing a soft piece like I will play it, now play it with the pedal. That is without the pedal and then using it with the pedal. That is using the uses of the pedal."
