"Hi I'm Tony Newton for Expert Village and we are going to talk about breathing and relaxation when playing the piano. Now this is a very esoteric concept when you get down to it is not so esoteric because you can not play the instrument all tensed up. It is when you are playing cause what happens it that all of your muscles from your whole body and your arms and your hands always tense up and you want as much flexibility in these areas as possible. So it is very conscious effort in your part when you are playing to breath, breath, the more you breath the more relaxed your are like let's say if I'm going to play. I'm trying to breath every phrase."
