"How to Write Screenplay Action Lines Hello. My name is Tony Ramirez from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, this is "How to Write a Screenplay". Let's get started. Chapter 9- Action Now these are the action lines for our script. As I mentioned in the margin section, they are justified completely to the left, and we go ahead and type whatever we need to type here. Another clue or actual fact that you should know is, whenever you're introducing a character, please have their name capitalized as much as possible in the first time you actually describe them and when you have it capitalized, put a slight description of them right after the fact. So I'll show you in this example. So again, we're in the studio, it's daytime, we're go going to talk about what I'm doing now. So we're going to say "Tony Ramirez" and then I'll add a quick description. We'll say "Latin male", and then we'll say what I'm doing. "Sits in front of his computer typing about how to write screenplays." Just like that we have our first action line. This will dictate exactly what's going to happen when you're shooting the actual movie. So it would be me sitting down in front of a computer, of course, typing on how to do screenplays. So this is the first line of action, and this is your action line."
