"Okay, now we want to talk about the soft palette. Exercises for releasing the soft palette, getting it warmed up. And, actually the forward stretch that we talked about in the last clip is good for releasing the jaw, as well as, for warming up the soft palette. But I want to give you another activity that is good as well. What you want to do is alternate the words "sing" s-i-n-g, and "ahhh". So, you're going to say these words and you're going to elongate them. You're going to say, "siiiiiinnnggg" with the emphasis on the "ng" "Siiiiinnnnngggg". And then you alternate it with "ahhhhh". And I want you to say "ahhhhh" as if you're sighing. "Ahhhhhhhh, siiiinnnngggggg, Ahhhhhhhh." Sing, Ah. Take your time with them. Alternate them four, five, six, seven, eight times. Really hold them as long as you can, don't forget to breathe into them and this will help to raise and warm up the soft palette."
