"On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Steve Anthony here in New York City, today we're going to talk a little bit about Country Bass Fiddle techniques for beginners. We talked a little bit earlier about slapping and how that can help to create a percussive effect when you're working without a drummer. Let's talk a little bit about the different styles of slapping. You can do the simple type of slapping we talked about before, which is just slapping with the right hand and muting with the left to create the beat. You can also do a more active slapping style which actually involves the snapping of the string, you're pulling up on the string as your slapping it. It gets a little more advanced; this requires a little more practice. (Audio demo) But it's a more punchy sound and more up tempo numbers it will come in more handy. (Audio demo) So we'll explore that and more of the concept of it and how that relates to the one, four, five, country Bass. (Audio demo)"
