"Welcome to Expert Village I'm Steve Blank audio and video engineer for Mind Food Productions here to show you how we can record with electronic drums. Now it's time to record our lead vocals it setup the condenser mic and I have on headphones and the speakers are off, any sound in the room or in the neighborhood might pick up on my microphone. (singing) But we were able to get to this point very quickly we save time by using the electronic drums. By playing the song repeatedly I already had set all the levels and the panning and I also had the software setup in the laptop. So when I went to play and record this the song was mostly mixed already in addition to that we went to setup the drums, I had 2 stereo chords from each system so four chords. With an acoustic set I would of had to setup microphones for all the drums (singing) I did not cut my head off on purpose this is the track that I ended up using and I want you to see the actual video, we'll be putting the clips together later. (singing) I had recorded the lead vocal track twice we can hear both of those I had actually considered for a while that maybe I would use them both but it sounded better with just the second."
