"Okay now that you have learned to do a brush and a strike there's a most basic move and tap dancing that comes in nearly every combination you'll ever learn and it's called a shuffle. What it is is a combination of a brush followed by a strike that looks like this. You'll brush and then immediately strike so your taking the ball of your foot and going forward then back and it sounds very clean, like that. Once you mastered the moves of brushing forward and brushing back do it a little faster brush, strike, brush, strike, and again your heel never ever hits the ground its just the ball of your foot brush, strike, brush, strike. It's very simple and if you want to rotate feet which is a good way to practice you want to start either one I prefer to start on the right on the right foot, step put the weight on your right foot, pick up your left foot and repeat it on the left. Everybody has a stronger and weaker side, my side stronger side is the right you'll figure out yours but you want to practice equally on both sides and maybe practice a little bit more on your weaker side just to get use to it."
