On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Talia Castro-Pozo and I'm Jules Helm. And we're here in New York City at Stepping Out Studios teaching you Night Club Salsa. In salsa dancing there are so many turns, its all about turning patterns. So, we want to make sure that we learn how to spot. Now there are many techniques on teaching you how to spot. The simple way, when you partner dance, is to look at your partner and try to connect with your partner. So let's take this example with the open break turn style. Back break. I'm going to connect with my partner, and spot at my partner. Jules is doing the same so that we can reconnect after the turn. Also it helps you from getting dizzy. Where wandering all around you can get very dizzy. Another thing is if you want to take it another degree, is thinking the head will be leaving last. So you're here. It's the last thing to leave and the first thing to arrive. So you're spot is, I'm watching my partner, and I watch her as long as I possibly can. Up, when my neck can hold it any more I turn and face her again. And that would apply to any turning pattern. So there's some information on spotting.
