"Hi, I'm Terri Lynne and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here with David O'Donald and in this segment we're going to be talking about "leaving early". David, what are you doing? I'm having a sandwich. Your audition is in a half an hour and you're eating lunch? Yeah, I needed to get some food. Okay, make sure that you do all the things that you need to do: eating, getting ready, getting dressed, whatever errands you have to run are done well before your audition. You do not want to be cutting it close. If your audition, it takes you a half an hour to get there, leave one hour early then. Don't leave 45 minutes early. Give yourself at least double the amount of time that the travel time should take. That way if traffic is slow, you get stuck by a train or there?s an accident in front of you or you?re having trouble finding a parking spot or you have to stop and get gas. All of a sudden you noticed you were low in gas. Any little incidental happens; you've given yourself plenty of time. It is very, very rude to come in late for an audition. It looks very unprofessional. But at the same time, it is important to know that you should not be more than 15 minutes early for an audition. And that also doesn't look too good as well. It's a little too eager. So if you do arrive a little too early, use that time to maybe in your car go over your audition piece a few more times. Maybe take a nice walk around the parking lot or if there?s a lake or park just to relax and take some nice deep breaths. But make sure, it's very important to leave early. Are you ready to go? Yeah."
