"Hi, I'm Terri Lynn and this is David O'Donnell and we're here on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to be showing you how to do a vocal warm up for that audition. So now that you're physically warmed up, you're ready to work on those old vocal cords. So we're going to do a couple of things, you don't have to be a singer to work on your vocal chords, these are all vocal exercises that don't involve singing, so don't worry David. We're going to start with just stretching your mouth, really wide, almost to a yawn, pull all those muscles up and actually you might want to tap on your face, tap all around your face to loosen up all those muscles so you can get every expression that you can, you have all your muscles awakened and ready to work. We're going to do a couple of other vocal exercises, stretch out our mouth, one is o e o e, be very exaggerated. We're going to start slow and go quicker and quicker. O e o e o e........and try not to do this in front of anybody else because you might look real silly. You might. The next one we're going to do, this one works the palette and the upper and lower parts of your tongue so it gets, if you get tongue tied, it helps loosen up that tongue. The saying is gooda gooda booda booda. So you say them and again alternate quicker and faster. So again, gooda gooda, booda booda. And this unlike the first one, you should probably do it on public transportation like the bus or the train. Of course. Gooda gooda, booda booda. And let's try a couple of tongue twisters as well, shall we? How about repeat after me. A big black bug bit a big black bear and made a big black bear bleed blood. Keep working on that but yes, you want to stretch out your mouth, you want to do some vocal exercises, try some maybe different tones in your voice, highs and lows so you're working on your range and then again, you want to work on your tongue twisters so you don't get tongue tied in that audition."
