"Hi, I'm Terri Lynn and this is David O'Donnell and we're here on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment we're going to be showing you how to do a physical warm up to get you ready for that audition. Now it's very important to start with a physical warm up, even before the vocal warm up to get yourself relaxed and focused and ready to go out there and get that job. So we're going to start with the top of the head and work our way down the body. David's doing some nice neck rolls and with the neck you want to be very gentle, don't be pulling it around just let your neck gently roll back and forward. Do it both clockwise and counter clockwise. Then he's going to do some shoulder rolls. It can get really tight and tense up in the shoulder area especially when you're nervous, that's where a lot of nerves get held and nervous energy so you really want to make sure that those are relaxed. Then he's going to open up his chest, do some stretches and then he's going to do some waist bends or waste twists here. And all the while, he's going to be breathing deep from within his diaphragm, nice deep breaths. And then you're going to do a forward bend all the way down and hold, drop your head, make sure it's nice and loose and relax, you want to be able to drop down as far as you can. These are just a few examples of some physical stretches you can do. I recommend a minimum of ten to fifteen minutes worth of stretches before you even think about heading out to that audition."
