THE FERRET: All right, now, that we got the new strings on the guitar, we stretched them out, we're ready to set the guitar up. You basically, got a few different things to consider, you got neck adjustment, the bridge which is going to give your height adjustment on the strings and your intonation. Your tremolo plate screws right here, that's going to ridge the whole bridge upper down. And on the back, you've got your spring tension screws right here, which is going to give you more or less tension on how the bar moves. Since we're doing it a complete set up, we want to start with the neck first, and the way you do that, is you look down at the edge of the neck, and if you see there's a lot of relief which is going to look like concave like that, and your going to want to make it flatter. And if you see it like this, that means, there's going to be hump, and again you want to make it flatter. You want your neck just to have a slight bit of relief in it, very little, so you want it very straight with maybe just a little bit of relief, that's going to give you room to band some strings without fretting out when you band, and causing too much buzz.
