"To adjust the neck on the Fender Telecaster, it's probably one of the more difficult guitars to adjust the neck on because you don't have a place to adjust the neck up here and if you look down here, the neck adjustment screw is actually covered by the pick guard. This is the best thing to do: Usually a good time is to do this when you're restringing your guitar because most likely you're going to have to take everything apart here to get to the neck adjustment screw. What I recommend is taking the strings off, removing the pick guard and then restringing the guitar. Then you can get to the screw that's in here. By turning it one way it's going to give you a hump in the neck, by turning it the other way it's going to make the neck kind of cave. Basically what your wanting is either a straight a neck as you can get it, or maybe just very slight dip in the neck by adjusting that screw. You need to be doing that when you have the string tension tuned up to you?re tuning on the neck. If you tune to pitch or if you tune flat or however you're going to tune it. You want to tune it that way and then adjust your neck."
