"Hi, I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to learn the basics in rock drumming. I like to call it rock drumming 101, the basics. Now that we've learned to count eighth notes, one and two and three and four and, and we've snapped on two and four, let's take the snap into the snare drum. Let's actually play the snare drum on two and four while we count, okay. So, this is kind of, you know, we're kind of doing it more and more. That's important because, like I said, practicing makes perfect and you can never practice too much or get too used to doing what we're doing. So let's take the left hand, that's why we snapped with the left hand because we play the snare drum with the left hand. So, snare drum on two and four, let's count a bar of eighth notes first and then we'll add in the snare on two and four, okay. So, one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and. If that's a little too fast, like I said, let's slow it down, okay. One and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four and. So, keep practicing that, keep getting used to it and let's take a look at what we've got next."
