"Hi I'm Shaun Schaefer on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to learn the basics in rock drumming. I like to call it Rock Drumming 101, the basics. Now that we've learned how to play the high hat and the snare drum at the same time, let's play the high hat and let's add in the kick drum. Let's go ahead and take the snare drum out so it's just kick drum on one and three and then the high hat on one, two, three and four, OK? So, remember, slow that's OK, so let's do one, two, three, four, kick drum. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Now, watch my kick drum and my high hat. Just like the snare drum and the high hat we're hitting at the same time on two and four. The kick drum and high hat are hitting exactly the same time on one and three. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. After we practice that for a longer period of time you get used to playing on one and three with the kick drum. Let's see what we got next and what else we can add in to make the drum beat even more fun."
