on 8/2/2008 Oh my god. Who is this invalid pianist? Maybe American education level is very low. Her fingers are not working. She must do only scales until she can play every sound equally.(equal time duration, equal sound quality, equal sound volume)It's too early for her to play any Bach piece.

on 8/2/2008 Shoshana Cook, the reason why you want to practice very slowly is because you want to practice finger control...so that all of the notes are in control and you can play the melody in absolute legato with your fingers. (you have to study how to play so that random notes are not louder than other notes...like you are playing in the video) You are not playing correctly on the video. If a child studies piano from someone like you, the child's possibility to become a concert pianist (at the international level) will finish right there. It is a great responsibility to become a child's piano teacher, because you will build the child's fundament for his/her pianistic technique.

on 8/2/2008 Please never teach children. You will finish their future as concert pianists. WHO was your professor at your University of North Texas?

It also helps to use a metronome you set the metronome pretty slow and play it like that. Once it is really slow you slow it down. You slow it down really far as slow as you can. "
