"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Spencer Weisbond and this is my lovely partner Jessie Pats. I'm with Hop, Swing and Jump Dance Studios which was founded in NYC and is now based in New Orleans, Louisiana. We're showing you the Lindy hop. The first move that we'll be demonstrating on this 8 count basic pattern is called the swing out from closed position. What this tells is on the basic step I'm going to cut my follower off and then I'm going to send her out where I am now. She's going to turn and face me and I'll be facing her that is what basically is going to happen. But more specifically she's going to step on her foot work and she's going to step left right left right left, so what I'm going to do is I'm going to step left right left right left right left right left right. While she goes right left right left right left right left right left."
