"Another nice little technique involving tapping is called tapping harmonics. Now, we already explained what tapping was, it's simply, you know. Now, instead, we're going to hit what's called the Harmonics, which, you have different Harmonics, the first one being natural, where you actually pick them, but you can also tap them. And you want to tap, when you tap the Harmonics, you want to tap them right above the fret, where you would pick them. But also what you can do is say, if I'm picking on the G on the seventh fret, you simply go to the octave, you go up twelve frets, so. And you can get what's called a Tap Harmonic. And a good way to just practice that, to get the clarity out of it, so you're hearing that nice little chiming sound every time. And you can use either your index, or your middle, whichever, different players have different preferences. You can simply go like this. And just do that. And then each successive note you play, just slide it down the same number of frets. And that's how you do a Tap Harmonic. "
