"Another good example of finger picking is the classical style in which I kind of do myself from time to time depending on what style of music I'm playing. A classical style picking, finger picking, is where you have pronounced arch in your wrist and your hand hanging over the strings. So from a side view it almost looks like this where it's and it seems, it would seem uncomfortable when you first do it but as you start practicing it makes a lot more sense because what this allows you to do is have your hand completely relaxed. Be able to do extremely fast passages or complex kind of finger style patterns. And it makes it just it's a much more efficient way to do it which is why it's the standard technique that's taught in lessons and in classes all over the world. So with the basic classical style, you're going to be, this is a E Minor little exercise which you've probably heard in songs a bunch of times. But with classical finger style you're going to go, and as you're picking, basically it's like in a almost in an attack motion. And that's a good exercise to warm-up your fingers and get the fingers nice and loose and ready to play a much more complex piece."
