"Ok, this is another example of some different strumming techniques a gives it a little more rhythm rather just simply doing a bland down, up, down, up type thing. A in this particular example what I'm going to do is a series of strums with rests. And a rest is simply stopping so when I go, rest and a rest. Sometimes it's nice to add say a dry stroke like a dry stroke being, without actually playing the chord and it gives it a nice little rhythmic feel that's used in a lot of different styles of music. So basically with this one I'm going to go down, up, rest, down, up, rest, down, up, rest with a dry stroke in between each strumming pattern. So slowly it sounds like this, ok? And then a little faster it sounds like this, leaves a nice little variation on there."
