    "Another good warm-up exercise is called the hammer on pull off exercise. And the first thing I'm going to show you is what a hammer on and a pull off is. A hammer on is simply where you have one finger on one fret, you pick the note and without picking the second note you apply the next one so it's basically like this. A pull off is where you pick this note and then simply pull your finger off and that is called a pull off. Where you're not picking two notes in a row you're simply picking one and then physically pulling off ok? So a good exercise to do is to on each string just practice going hammer on and pull off. So as you build up finger strength and speed it'll start to sound like and do that on each string and pretty soon you'll be going, an effect you've heard in many songs I'm sure. And it's a good idea to try and do like, I, I used to do it like thirty seconds each string so basically what I would do is just simply like this for thirty seconds or until your fingers start getting fatigued."
