"Another player, I like a lot, is Tom Morello, who plays with "Rage Against the Machine" and "Audioslave" and he uses the wah, in other effects, he's like a master. Something I kind of adopted from him, is using wah, with a distorted tone, playing in a rock context. So, for example, I'm just going to do a simple G major, or G major bar chord and use the wah, like what they would do during a verse, in one of their songs, is too just go (playing guitar). And even though with the distortion, it's a bit noisier and that's kind of the point of using it, is giving the way, instead of say a funky U or a blusey or whatever, you're using it actually as an aggressive element, within a rift. Again like kind of playing and using scrapes and use it for either more aggressive element, like in that example. So go again, what it would sound like is (playing guitar). And also using the noise, with the distortion, as you're rocking the pedal back and forth, to kind of give it a nice reckless abandon slash aggressive effect, to the rift."
