"In this example I'm going to be showing different examples of how to use the wah. In this one what I did was I switched up my tone so now I'm going to use more of a Rock tone. Basically, so what I'm going to be doing is I'll gauge my wah pedal here. And especially in newer Rock in the last, like, ten years or so, especially, like say heavier new metal as they call it they've been using like what they call the octave licks like to go over rhythms like you'd have something like. And basically what's going on there is like they'll use like what they call candy, try going. For example, say I'm playing a D the octave way. And what they've been using a lot of times is using the wah effect to kind of accent or add a flavor to the candy tracks. So, so say I'm playing over say a D riff. What they're doing here is going. And so basically what I'm doing is there is kind of mixing it up, taking a slow sweep. And then kind of moving my wah pedal with my foot with the rest of the rhythm on the octave."
