"Okay this first clip what I'm going to show you is, how to use the wah peddle and a little quick history on the wah. It was developed in the nineteen sixties and was made famous by players like Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton and it's still a very prominent effect today. And essentially what I'm going to be showing you is different techniques and applications that the wah peddle can do. So this first example, what I'm going to show you is just the basic wah. And what I'm going to be doing playing wise, is I'm going to be doing the scraping. And I'm going to use a "e" minor seven chord, which is basically second finger on the seventh fret, first finger on the sixth fret on the "d" string, third finger on the seventh fret on the "g", and my fourth finger or pinkie on the "b" string on the eighth fret. So you get... and you can use the low "e" open here. And when you bring the wah in, when you have it down it sounds like this. And then when you bring it, hence why it's called the wah effect because of the, that wah, wah. So basically what I'm going to be doing is just going... And so what I'm doing there is basically just going... and bringing it up. So that sounds bassy there, but this brings the mids and the treads up here. So, and I'm just rocking my foot back and forth. And that's the first basic application you could use using the wah peddle."
