    "In this example, I'm going to do a switch to a clean channel, and I'm going to play some different ideas you can do in drop D over a steady rock riff. With the drums it will sound like this, and I'll explain it afterwards. Ok, so what I did there is pretty much use the, having the advantage of the drop D tuning to where I could go to E here, and pretty much picked open notes on the A and D strings, and then went to A sharp, and up to B, and that ended on D. And so, as you noticed, the drum tripe was still kind of an open hat, kind of splashy sounding thing that you would typically hear on a heavier riff, but sometimes using an idea like that over a typically heavier rock drum beat compliment each other very well."
