"Ok in this example, I'm going to do a variation of a previous blues riff I did in E, and, again, using it, an old blues, riff in a modern context. So with the drums it'll sound like this. What I did there was pretty much played a blues riff in E, and again going: G, G sharp, except this time I went to the D string to E on the second fret, D open, B on the second fret on the A string, went to D. And the second time around went: E, G, G sharp, E, D, B to C sharp. So. And so by doing that it?s a slight variation and this wasn't quite a muted where I was going. I was playing a little more open to give it a little more kind of open sound to it. A riff that?s been used by many like Eric Clapton, the Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others."
