" In this example what I'm going to do is play a probably the most common of rock keys, E, and a what I'm going to do is just do a basic rhythm over a drum beat and I'll go ahead and play it for you with the drums. And what I did there was a pretty much just riding the E note with the E5 chord which is open E and then B. And if you want to add the E note there on the D string on the second fret you know, it's fine. It gives it a little fuller sound and then in between just riding what are called eighth notes. And keeping that even one, two, three, four so one, so it's basically going one, two, one, two, three, four, one, two, one, two, three, four. So again there's always the timing element involved in that so it sounds corrected when you're playing with drums. So again, you know, that, that's a very basic a rock riff in E that's used a time and time again."
