"In this example I'm going to play over a B minor progression and what I'm going to do is kind of play what's called a repeating theme, where you're just playing the same line over a chord change. In this case B minor, A and E. And, with the backing tracks it sounds like this. O.k, what I did there was simply played out of the B minor scale and on the B string, beginning on the eighth fret I went. And, so just keeping that going through and adding the B note and then when it went to A, I added the C sharp note, and then when it went to E, I remained on the C sharp and then ended on the F sharp over the E which kind of gave it a pretty cool sounding flavor at the end of it."
