What I'm doing hear is I'm going to play to a basic very basic drum beat and I'm just going to show you how to play different rhythms that you can do within the rock realm whether it's clean or distorted. In this case I'm going to be doing several using clean tones using basic strums that's used in rock. In this case what I'm going to do is a one in G Major and a, with the track that you're going to hear it's going to sound like this. Ok and what you're hearing there basically is you heard the drums boom, cah, boom, you know, that's the most basic drum beat that you hear in all kinds of different hit songs. Now what I'm doing there is going, so I'm not even really strumming as much as I am going, you know, just down and then strumming back, picking back on the notes G on the G chord here which has been used in different songs and what you're hearing there is basically a strum here and then picking back up over a drum beat."
