"Okay, in this segment we're going to talk about Major 7th chords, and in this case barre chords. I'll also show a few different open first position chords that go along with a couple of these. In this case we're going to start with A Major 7. In this shape, it's much like the Major barre chord shape, except the difference is is we're going to be omitting the pinkie, thus dropping the note down to make the 7th degree of the scale. In this case in A, it would be G. So played slowly, what you're going to have is the first finger barred on the fifth fret, your third finger on the seventh fret, and your second finger on the G on the sixth fret, and it'll sound like this played slowly (playing) Again, with the same barre position with your thumb in the middle, almost parallel with your first finger to give that in the middle of the back of the neck to give it that reinforcement that you'll need to make a barre chord. So again, the A Major 7 barre chord is (playing)."
