"We've been talking about pinch harmonics and I came on it growing up as a guitar player and learning techniques and learning my own style and so forth, I learned a, when I first learned pinch harmonics, I learned an unorthodox way to do it, which I haven't seen any other guitar players doing, and I think I did it just for my stubbornness of not doing it the proper way. And what I use is the side of my palm basically to achieve the same thing you would do with the side of your finger. And I won't recommend this necessarily, but it is a different way to achieve a pinch or artificial harmonics while you're picking and during playing solos or during your rhythms. So basically, what I do is I cover, say I'm playing on B, instead of going, picking there. I'm doing it, I'm using literally the side of my palm, you know, and, you know, it's just a different way to do it and, for some reason, I could find myself able to get the high notes that I wanted to and seemed to be preferably the note, it's not very economical. So, for example, I could go, you know, and get some cold, high screaming hard rock kind of sounds out of it."

on 6/30/2009 I hope I'm not double-posting. Anyhoo, I just discovered the 'palm harmonic' technique and was wondering if anyone else knew how to do it. I guess so. I do wonder, however, if he knows how to accent entire chords with this technique. It's the next logical step and can be easily done with some trial and error. Please try it.
