"This next octave example I'd like to show is kind of like a repeating back and forth lick, and going back to the rhythm. So essentially what I'm going to be doing here, I could be playing the key of D as well, is I'm going to be going. And that's basically the passage how that's going to be played, so I'm starting at the seventh fret on the D, on D, tenth fret, which is also D, and sliding it up to E, ninth fret, G string, and high E, twelfth fret. Sliding it up to F Sharp, all these notes falling in the key of B Major. I'm just playing a simple, open rhythm on the D five. And for good measure, you can throw in that A root on the D, and give it a nice heavy ending to it."
