"Hi! I'm Sarah Mclellan and we are in New York City. Today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to apply makeup for stage. I'm going to add a nice mushroomy brown. Kind of right here in the center of my eye. You can see if I close my, I'm just trying to blend that in. Over my brow bone. I'm going to do that to my left eye too. You have to have one eye open and one eye pretty much closed as you go. You can see I'm really trying to blend that in so it looks nice and natural. What I'm going to do now is add a little bit more of a plum purple color to kind of add a little bit of contrast. I'm just going to go over that same area that I'm hitting, but more in the crease of my eye. Just build it up and build it up. The best thing about makeup I think to know is that you can always add more. The best part about doing stage makeup is you can just keep blending and keep blending to get the desired effect that you're looking for. As you can see, it's kind of getting a little bit extreme. What I want to do is get a little bit of a bigger brush and we're just going to brush over the top. This is kind of getting some of the color off, but blending it in a way that color fades in. You can see it's popping the eye a little bit more and giving a bit more of a shadow and effect in that area."
