"Depending on your skin tone, that makes a difference for colors that you're going to use for your makeup. I have reasonably fair skin. I find I use nice light beige bases. Something that's creamy. A good tip though when you're doing your base for stage, you need to kind of pick a color that's probably a tad darker than what you've used for your regular daytime makeup just so you can kind of retain a little bit of warmth within your face when the lights hit you. The same thing with blush and different things. You want to use your more kind of orange to brown tone blushes, your bronzers, and things like that to do contouring. When it comes to making color appear on your cheeks, you really do need something that is a bit more vibrant in the pinks and red tones. For eye shadow, I really like doing a base with the creamy browns, the whites to kind of highlight the brow bones and open up the eyes in that respect. Then sometimes it's really fun to use a bright color that you wouldn't necessarily use for your daytime or even your nighttime wear. More of the blues or something that's a big iridescent that can really spice up your look on stage. Then of course, black eyeliner, black mascara, and then a really lovely red lipstick. I use something that's got a blue tone in it, but you can always use a orange tones reds as well."
