Mambo underarm turn when you are dancing with a partner; so it's 1 2 and 3 4 and 1 2 and 3 4 and 1 2 and 3 4 and 1 2 and 3 4 and 1, what you need to know about this figure is the man should lead the underarm turn for the lady. The basic step is being in the same hold as we had told you in the basic step. So the man is holding the lady's right arm in his left, and on the other side he is holding the lady' left shoulder blade. And the lady's left arm is on the man's right arm so we are dancing the basic step from here; it's 2 and 3 4 and 1 2 and stop, this is the basic step and now here comes the turn. What is important about this is that the lady should keep that right hand above the right shoulder and never move it from there, if you move it maybe your hand will break, lets hope not. But if you keep it above your shoulder then it will not break so when I'm turning I keep my right hand above my shoulder all the time like this. And in the mean time the gentleman should not step back when they are turning so it's 2 and 3 4 and 1 2 and 3 4 and 1 and we are getting back to the close hold at the end.
