"SCOTT DUPONT: Hi, Scott DuPont here. I am a working actor. Welcome back on behalf of Expert Village. This little segment we're going to talk about how to get started. You're brand new. You don't even know what do I do? What's my first step? Well, the first step for any child's or children and their parent or parents is you want to take some acting classes. Now, be very, very careful because there are some scam, school - some scam operators out there which will charge thousands of dollars. For beginning acting class, you should pay between 200 and $500 for six to 12 week course. That'll just give you an idea. And it's a good idea to talk to a few parents or students that have gone through that particular acting school or maybe to let you audit a class for free just to get an idea so you're comfortable with the school and that's one thing you always want to be comfortable. Anything you get your kid into. But the acting classes will give you the general knowledge or your kid the general knowledge on how to move in front of the camera, how to properly slate when you go into an audition. They'll also teach you a few techniques and some skills to help you eventually get an agent. So, that'll be the first step to do would be to take some acting classes. The second step would be to get some experience. And for that segment, we're going to come back because I've got a whole slew of things. I'm going to tell you about different types of experience you can get. So, on behalf of Expert Village, we'll be right back."
