"Hi this is Shana Bethune and on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to talk to you about using multiple tracks in final cut pro. So final cut automatically sets up one video track and 4 audio tracks in your time line. If you like to add more audio track or more video tracks go up to sequence and down to insert track. Here you can select the number of video tracks you like to add as well as the number of audio tracks. You can also choose whether the tracks go before the original b-1 track or after. So right now I'm going to add one new video track so enter 1 and make sure this box right here is checked and then I click ok. Now down here I got a 2nd video track called b-2. Now if I want to change the destination of the clip that is in my viewer to the second video track instead of the 1st video track I move the source from b-1 up to b-2. Now when I add footage it would appear in the 2nd video track rather than in the first one. When you are working with multiple tracks it can get very complex. Always make sure that your source control is lined up with the correct destination control before adding new media."
