"RYAN LARSON: So, now we're going to change it up a little bit and we're going to read the same passage but it's going to be written in E flat major, and we're going to play it in our B flat major scale pattern. So, E-flat major, E or the bottom line is 1. So now all we have to do is just number it using this as our center here. We got 1, 5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1, 1, flat 3, and it starts getting different from here on, but you'll notice that we have the exact same pattern except now it's in E flat but we can play it in B flat if we just make that our 1. B flat: 1, 4, 5, 4 or 1, 5, 6, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1, 1, flat 3, 1, 7, 6, 5 1, 3, 5, 7, 3, 2, 1 or 4, 2, 1. So the ending is a little bit different in our E flat passage, but we played the whole thing in B-flat major by just making our E flat a B flat."
