"Hi, this is Sarah McLellan in New York City. We are at June Parody's Dance Studio. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to teach you today some basic and beginning tap moves. Come on in! So I though you how to do a shuffle and what we are going to do now is kind of do some shuffle in a progression to get your ankles working. Just to get your brain siked up, in one of the tap dancing is one of the most important steps. So if you are in a dance studio it is great because you can come over to the bar and you can hold on so you can get your good posture and you can stand and do the shuffles. If you are at home and you are trying to do this at home, you definitely can use household objects like a table or even a chair the side of the chair to hold onto. But it is important to get your weight and get your center before you start your shuffles. So we are going to start with 4 shuffles to the front. Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle and now try them to the side shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle. When you do that you are just turning your out and shuffling to the side. So 4 to the front, 4 to the side and then come around and repeat to the opposite. "
