"Hi, this is Sarah McLellan in New York City here at June Parody's Dance Studio. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to teach you today some basic and beginning tap moves. Come on in. So the next step is probably something that is used in some many tap moves it is the shuffle. If you have not heard it before it makes up time steps, you can do shuffles in changes, shuffle to the side, shuffle to the front, shuffle to the back. The shuffle is really made of 2 steps a forward hit and a backwards hit. It is done quickly and it makes up the bases of one of the taps most important steps. Again when you are doing the shuffle you want to make sure when you hit the first sound with your toe. You toe kind of goes to the ceiling and you can see that tap. Then you are going to kick back the way that you way made that sound with a backwards hit flap. So the shuffle goes like this forward and back. Shuffle, shuffle, try the other leg, shuffle, shuffle. Make it nice and sharp, shuffle. There we go."
