"RYAN LARSON: So now, we are going to show you the tab for our B major scale. And it is only on the first three strings, because we just use this scale in reference to find the different notes out of the fret boards. We have B, C sharp, D sharp, E, F sharp, G sharp, A sharp, B. So going from B to B, we have all 12 notes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. Notes that we could ever encounter and it is all on the first three strings. So if we have a minor chord on the 2nd, we can go here or if we have to play a 7th chord here, we can apply the 7th chord. And we can go through and analyze our tune to find where to put the root and then apply the appropriate chord. So here is that scale in tab. You want to make sure you definitely have this written down at home. Bottom three strings, 7, 9, 11, up a string, 7, 9, 11, up a string, 8, 9. And again, the name of the scale is B, C sharp, D sharp, E, F sharp, G sharp, A sharp, B. And you know you are in B major when you see three sharps. So you want to go through and notate that down at home. And we are going to show you how to utilize all these information in just a minute."
