"RYAN LARSON: So now we're going to look at our minor chord, and again, 12 is our root right here on the 12th fret E and we have 12, 10, 12, 12, 12, 12. So if you look at my fingers on that, we have 12, 10, 12, 12, 12, 12, so you want to use you middle finger on the 12th fret, pointer finger here and your ring finger holding down these strings. That's your E minor. And our 7th chord is 12, then 12-you skip a string, 12, 12, 13, 12 and you can also use your 14th there. So if we look at the tab for that, you have 12, 12, 13, 12, 12. And again, you want to write all these down at home so as we go through--whenever we have to play a major chord on the low string, we can reference to the major chord. When we have to play a minor chord on the low string, we can go to the minor and the same for the 7th. So what we're doing is we're getting this patterned under our fingers and then when we go through and actually read thru our tune, we're going to have some chords that are going to fall on the low string. Let's say it's a minor chord, let's say it's like a B minor, you can use the same pattern and just start on the fret that B is on and then apply the same chord voicing. So make sure you write all these chords at home and we're going to go through and show you the ones for the A string and the D string as well. And then we're going to show you how to apply them to the actual Bossa nova tune."
