"So now we're going to take a look at our G flat major scale which is right here, and we have, starting on the low frets we have three, five, seven, three, five, seven, four, five. And you want to write this down at home again, we're going to use this scale as we analyze the whole tune. Three, five, seven, three, five, seven, and then four, five at the top. And the scale notes are G flat, A flat, B flat, C flat, D flat, E flat, F, G flat, so a lot of flats in there. So as we go through you're going to notice the piece we use uses a lot of flats. But you might say, "Hey Ryan, what happens if I hit a B chord and it's not in the scale?" Well we have B flat, B is right above it, so we'd use the eighth fret on the low string. So it's just that easy and utilizing the scale we can find all twelve chromatic notes just by using this one major scale. And then once you have your roots, you can apply the appropriate scale that falls on that string. So if I have a B flat seventh chord, all right, B flat's on the low string, so I play my seventh chord, that's on my E string, and I just move it to the B flat root. So very simple concept, and we're going to show you how to utilize all this information, in just a minute."
