"So now that we have B flat minor down. We have the scale. We numbered it one through seven. We can start walking some bebop. And we'll do B flat minor and then we'll go to A flat major as well. We can do the transition back and forth. Walk two measures of each. I'm going to throw some chromatic notes in there. Again, you don't always have to play all the notes in the scale. You can throw some chromatic notes in there. You want to make sure you're still hitting the actual frets. You don't want to play in between notes. But, it still sounds good. The main purpose is to land on the root of the chord that's being played on the down beat. So every time you hit one you're right there with B flat minor. So by going through and utilizing the scale as many times as you can you can practice this for hours and hours and hours and then when you go to approach it, when you go through reading through tunes you'll have this pattern so down tight you'll be able to go anywhere with it."
