"So today we're going to take a look at our C major scale. And we're really going to get this scale under our fingers. And since the fret board on the bass is all the same pattern over and over, we can take this one scale and shift it all over the fret boards. We can start on different frets. So we're going to show you how we can just take one scale, and utilize all the different information out of it. Also you get two other scales out of that one scale. You get your minor scale which starts on the second degree, so instead of starting here we can start here. And you get your minor scale. So we're going to go through and show you all these different scales, and we're going to show you the major scale and then we're going to really get it embedded under your fingers so you can go through and utilize this pattern, walk through some chord changes that don't really stay in the key of C. We're going to move all over the bass, but we're going to utilize the same information to make it very basic and easy for you to get under your fingers."
