Walking Through Section B Measures to Play a D Flat Scale

"RYAN LARSON: Now, we're going to take a look at the B section, which starts on our vi minor and goes for two measures, vi minor, right? B flat, right? D flat, E flat, D-E-F-G-A-B, six, two measures, then E flat for two measures, then we'll walk E flat again to A flat, so our 2-5, and then we have our 1-6-2-5 at the end. So we're going to walk through that. So look at my fingers. We start on 6, right? So 1-2-3-4-5-6. So I'm going to start there and have to walk eight beats and then land on 2 to 5, right? So I've got 8 or I'll start on 6: 2-5-2-5-1-6-2-5-1. So now, if we walk the whole tune, we're going to get this pattern. We start on 1-2-5-2-5-1-6-2-2-5-1-6-2-5 to 1. And that's the pattern to "Mack the Knife" walking through the same major scale utilizing those different root tunes that we get out of the major scale."
